MAC cosmetics has collaborated with the pop icon, Rihanna for the VIVA Glam campaign. A review of the frosted metallic mauve lipstick is here. The velvety soft red packaging with her signature on it is pretty much interesting to look at, for me. Reminds me of how fierce Rihanna is. The shades of the lipstick just compliments the packaging at it totally stands out. And ladies and gentlemen, this is limited edition so better grab the shades now. First up is VIVA Glam Rihanna. Described by MAC as blue-red with frost finish. Frost finish lipsticks should always be built-up if you want a clearer and thicker finish. 5 swipes or more would be enough. Love the shade of red this lipstick has. Perfect for every skin tone and would really compliment it. If you're just lazy too put makeup on, just wear this shade and you're ready to go.
The next shade is VIVA Glam Rihanna 2. As I swatched this shade on my lips, it reveals the lines on my lips which is a great no no. It takes more application to be opaque because the finish is frost. And if you need the color to stand out even more, I suggest you blank out your lips first because if you don't, the natural color of your lips would still peek through especially for red lips. And if you don't, you might actually keep on re-applying and applying without noticing your lipstick is finished. Guess what, this shade is SOLD OUT. Actually, I'm a little pleased with this shade. Not the usual lip color one would wear and it screams Rihaaaannnnaaaa! If you definitely want to standout and try something new, better grab this shade. Honestly, this is one of my fave MAC lipsticks already. The shade is just to die for.
